Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Systems Engineer to support first‑of‑kind space vehicle development and provide SETA to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office. You will apply advanced principles to cryptographic and communication subsystems and communicate results to management.

This position requires TS/SCI eligibility with experience in SAP/SCI environments, and travel up to 30% within the continental United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years DoD/IC or relevant industry experience.
• Skilled in cryptographic and satellite communication systems.
• Understanding of space operational environment and mission needs.
• Knowledge of space mission payload engineering and manufacturing.
• Experience with DoD program management, IMS, and risk management.
• Experience with SOW and PWS.

Responsibilities

• Supports design, interpretation, and analysis of technical solutions to complex projects.
• Leads or supports technical programs, projects, or tasks requiring engineering oversight.
• Ensures completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
• Provides input to the government customer on risks to performance, schedule, and budget.
