Job summary

Rocket Lab invites motivated engineering students to join the Combustion Devices team in Long Beach, CA for a full-time, on-site internship lasting 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027. You will support design, analysis, and testing of combustion devices, gain hands-on GD&T drafting, and process data with CAD/CAM tools.

You will collaborate with mentors, take part in engine test activities, and contribute to project milestones while expanding your technical and professional skills in

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a mentor and teammates to apply knowledge and grow technically and professionally
• Contribute to solving real engineering challenges with a fast-paced group
• Attend 1:1s with mentors to facilitate success and learning
• Participate in tech talks and network with interns and employees
