Job summary

Rocket Lab, the end-to-end space company, seeks a Combustion Devices Intern at its Long Beach, CA site. You will assist in designing, analyzing and testing combustion devices, gaining hands-on experience with GD&T drafting and data processing while supporting engine development.

You'll work with mentors in a fast-paced team, attend regular 1:1s, participate in tech talks, and contribute to cross-team projects as Rocket Lab prepares to launch a new large rocket.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor and other engineers to apply your knowledge and grow technically and professionally.
• Apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning.
• Participate in tech talks and network with interns and employees.
