Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks a Manager of Project Management 2 to oversee project operations, manage budgets and schedules, and lead risk mitigation efforts on-site. The role requires a TS clearance and extensive PM experience.

You will coordinate planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, while driving continuous improvement across the OU. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership abilities, experience with MRB/CCB processes, and proficiency with EVMS and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR a Master's with 6+ years.
• Two years in a leadership role, as a manager or team lead.
• Working knowledge of EVMS.
• Experience with lab and/or secure area management.
• Experience leading MRB’s (Material Review Board) and CCB’s (Change Control Board).
• Active Top Secret clearance at the time of application with the ability to obtain SCI access.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between PM, planning, teams, and management.
• Review project status, budgets, and schedules; identify variances; prepare status reports for stakeholders.
• Assess project issues and risks; develop and drive resolutions and mitigation plans.
• Maintain program risk, issue, and opportunity registers with clear ownership and actions.
• Prepare and present metrics, briefings, and dashboards for reviews and engagements.
• Plan, facilitate, and document Risk and Opportunity Review Boards and drive closure.
• Maintain SharePoint sites to enable access to procedures and data.
• Support OU/BU reporting and leadership reviews with charts and materials.
