Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Manager of Project Management 3 in Palmdale, CA, to lead Strike Division Mission Assurance efforts and drive strategic initiatives. The role requires coordinating across sites and senior leaders while ensuring financial and operational performance.

You will manage day-to-day activities, refine metrics, and oversee the annual operating plan. A DoD clearance and willingness to travel are required for success in this leadership position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 7 years.
• Related experience includes project management, program management, Mission Assurance, Build IPT, engineering, or business management.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; strong analytical and presentation abilities.
• Ability to interact with senior management and safeguard sensitive information.
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and drive improvement across functions.
• Domestic travel about 25% and active DoD clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support development of division strategies aligned to sector goals.
• Lead communication of objectives across sites and levels.
• Set business rhythms and metrics to track progress.
• Refine performance metrics to drive the desired outcomes.
• Lead strategic initiatives affecting the division and special projects.
• Ensure alignment with processes and best practices across functions.
• Contribute to annual operating and long-range plans including resource planning.
• Prepare materials for events to show progress and needs; participate in councils.
• Organize employee engagement activities like town halls and site visits.
