Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring an Analyst – Financial II to serve as the embedded financial partner for a program element within the New Glenn finance team. You will develop the financial picture, build real-time dashboards, and drive actionable cost and performance decisions with engineering and operations leaders.

You will own forecasts, variance analyses, and KPI development, while contributing to automation and data quality improvements across the element.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or STEM field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, program finance, FP&A, or accounting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP concepts (accruals, cost collection, journal entries, reconciliations).
• Proficiency in SQL; ability to build repeatable analysis from large datasets.
• Experience building or improving recurring financial workflows – automation or reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep working knowledge of the assigned program element and its cost drivers.
• Lead financial performance measurement: KPIs, forecasts, variance analysis with root-cause findings.
• Build and maintain dashboards/reports for self-service visibility to program leadership.
• Partner with engineering and operations on investments, headcount, and non-labor spend.
• Identify and lead financial improvement opportunities, automate workflows, improve data quality, build reusable analyses.
• Support annual operating plan, forecast cycles, and program reviews as the financial lead for the element.
• Maintain financial controls: cost collection accuracy, charge code integrity, audit-ready documentation.
