Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to join the Operations team in New York. You will coordinate materials, release shop orders, and drive on-time production by managing schedules with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 2+ years of supply chain experience, MRP/ERP proficiency, and strong communication. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma concepts is a plus. All shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supply chain experience.
• Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Experience with planning and/or scheduling activities.
• Experience working with a cross functional team.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience with MRP execution desired.
• Excellent written/verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, DFSS, Lean design, Value Stream, Kaizen principles/tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate materials availability to meet customer requirements.
• Performs shop order release/closure in MRP System and reconciles parts.
• Provide detailed status of work in progress and communicate constraints to schedule.
• Prepare work orders for production based on master schedule, shop load and inventory.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and program.
• Schedule and expedite movement of parts via move orders, stock transfers and shipping requests.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas.
• Implement material stocking strategy on production lines and maintain floor stock.
• Maintain proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing.
• Monitor flow of jobs through production line and ensure on-time completion.
• Monitor disposition of MRB and stranded material.
• Enter material transactions in ERP system.
• Prepare reports and note shortages/damage.
• Process scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations.
