Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Planner to support manufacturing and production scheduling across facilities. This role emphasizes coordinating materials, releasing shop orders in MRP, and maintaining clear communication with warehousing, quality, engineering, and logistics to meet daily production targets.

You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages, monitor material flow, and uphold Lean principles while ensuring accurate ERP transactions and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supply chain experience.
• Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Experience with planning and/or scheduling activities.
• Experience working with a cross functional team.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience with MRP execution desired.
• Excellent written /verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrates understanding and is able to apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
• Performs shop order release/closure in MRP System and reconciles parts.
• Provide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicates constraints to schedule.
• Prepare work orders for the production of parts based on master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and program.
• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
• Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas.
• Implement material stocking strategy on production lines, monitor, control and maintain proper floor stock.
• Control the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing - custodian of the cash
• Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
• Monitor the velocity of the disposition of MRB and stranded material.
• Enter material transactions in ERP system
• Prepare reports and note shortages/damage
• Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.
• Prepare for, conduct and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts
• Knowledge of backflush process.
• Work with Production and Materials teams to resolve part discrepancies
• May be required to interface with departments throughout the company
• Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision making skills, and the ability to think outside the box
