Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island is seeking a Production/Materials Planner to oversee the flow of parts, coordinate shop orders, and support manufacturing with timely scheduling and inventory management. You will partner with warehouse, quality, engineering, and procurement to meet customer requirements and optimize material movement.

The role requires 2+ years in supply chain, experience with MRP/ERP systems, strong communication, and a continuous improvement mindset (LEAN/Six Sigma).

Qualifications

• 2+ years supply chain experience.
• Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Experience with planning and/or scheduling activities.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• MS Office proficiency; ERP experience with MRP execution desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Understanding of LEAN, Six Sigma and related improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate material availability to meet customer requirements.
• Release/close shop orders in the MRP system and reconcile parts.
• Provide status of work in progress and communicate constraints to schedule.
• Prepare work orders based on master production schedule and inventory needs.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, quality, engineering, procurement, and logistics.
• Move parts via stock transfers and shipping requests; expedite material shortages.
• Implement stocking strategy on production lines and maintain floor stock.
• Enter material transactions in ERP and prepare reports on shortages or damage.
• Support cycle counts and MRB disposition as needed.
