Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA offers a graduate-level Power Systems Engineering Intern role in the Analog and Power Systems Department. You will work full-time on-site, applying coursework to satellite energy balance and power bus analyses under expert guidance.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Master’s/Ph.D. program in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and eligibility for a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college/university pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Availability for a full-time, 10-week internship and ability to return to degree program after completion.
• Bachelor’s degree completed by internship start date.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Transcripts required for the internship application.

Responsibilities

• Provide Power Systems Engineering technical support.
• Model satellite energy balance and launch vehicle energy depletion analyses under guidance.
• Collaborate with Power Systems staff to understand subsystem power bus operations.
• Develop and apply system-level modeling tools for hardware performance characterization.
• Write clear, concise reports documenting work and outcomes.
