Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites applications for an undergraduate Power Systems Engineering Intern in the Analog and Power Systems Department, Electronics Engineering Subdivision, at our El Segundo, CA facility. The role is full-time, on-site for a minimum of 10 weeks, with training and mentorship provided.

Qualified students must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Electrical or Computer Engineering, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be eligible for US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Power Systems Engineering technical support.
• Apply academic skills to create satellite energy balance and/or launch vehicle energy depletion analysis models under guidance.
• Work with staff to increase understanding of satellite subsystem elements on power buses.
• Utilize or develop system level modeling tools for hardware performance characterization.
• Learn how satellites operate through launch and initialization.
• Write clear, concise reports documenting work.
