Job summary

Aerotek in Cape Canaveral and Miami is seeking a PLC Technician to maintain and optimize automated systems that support space hardware production and testing. This onsite role requires hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs, robotics, and control networks to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

The ideal candidate will program and modify PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and others), read schematics, and perform preventative maintenance while collaborating with engineers and production teams

Qualifications

Experience with PLCs in aerospace or high-tech environments.
Ability to work onsite in Florida.
Overtime availability to support critical operations.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
Program, modify, and support PLC systems including Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
Perform preventative maintenance on automated production equipment and control systems.
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.
Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to improve reliability and performance.
Install and commission new equipment, controls, sensors, and instrumentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, safety, and quality.
