SpacePlanning Specialist – Site Growth, Occupancy & IWMS Support

Location: Kenosha County, WI
Work Environment: Active GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing campussupporting office, laboratory, warehouse, manufacturing, and aseptic operations
Contract Duration: 6–12 months, with potential extension based on sitegrowth needs

PositionOverview

AutomatedSystems, Inc. is seeking a Space Planning Specialist to support our client’srapidly growing Kenosha County site. The site is expanding at a fast pace, withhundreds of new employees and contractors being added across operations,engineering, quality, laboratory, manufacturing, facilities, and project teams.

Thisrole will help the site plan, assign, track, and optimize the use of officespace, laboratory space, manufacturing support space, collaboration areas,contractor work areas, parking, and access routes. The successful candidatewill work closely with Facilities, Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, IT,Security, EHS, and project stakeholders to ensure people are placed in theright locations to support safe, efficient, and compliant site operations.

Akey part of the role will be supporting the implementation and use of theSpaceti Integrated Workplace Management System, but the broader objective is tohelp the site make sound space-planning decisions during a period of rapidgrowth. This includes balancing headcount growth, contractor onboarding,parking demand, site access, manufacturing flow, safety, lab utilization, andproximity to work areas.

KeyResponsibilities

SiteGrowth & Occupancy Planning

• Support space planning for a rapidlyexpanding pharmaceutical manufacturing site with significant growth inemployee and contractor headcount using Spaceti Integrated WorkplaceManagement System.
• Develop and maintain accurate occupancyplans for office, laboratory, manufacturing support, warehouse, andshared-use spaces.
• Partner with site leadership, Facilities,HR, Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT, Security, and EHS to understandcurrent and forecasted staffing needs.
• Help determine where new employees,contractors, project teams, and functional groups should be located basedon role, work area, access needs, shift patterns, and operationalpriorities.
• Identify space constraints, overcrowdingrisks, inefficient layouts, and near-term capacity issues.
• Develop practical recommendations forspace allocation, moves, seating plans, lab support areas, contractorareas, and temporary workspace solutions.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate,reassign, repurpose, or improve underutilized spaces.
• Assess space needs related to manufacturing flow, material movement, gowning routes, personnel access,maintenance access, and operational adjacency.
• Assess parking demand created by rapidheadcount growth, contractor utilization, shift changes, andvisitor/vendor activity.
• Evaluate pedestrian routes, site accesspoints, contractor access, badge access needs, and movement betweenparking, offices, labs, and manufacturing areas.
• Identify ergonomic, congestion, andaccess issues related to current or planned occupancy.
• Track open space issues, action items,decisions, constraints, and implementation status.

Requirements

RequiredQualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in FacilitiesManagement, Architecture, Engineering, Business, Interior Design,Construction Management, Planning, or a related field; equivalentexperience will be considered.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in spaceplanning, workplace strategy, facilities management, occupancy planning,campus planning, lab planning, manufacturing support planning, orIWMS/CAFM administration.
• Experience supporting space planning in acomplex site environment with multiple stakeholder groups.
