Job summary

QTS is seeking a Space Planner/Occupancy Planner in Overland Park to design, optimize, and manage interior layouts using CAD/BIM tools. You will analyze space utilization and forecast headcount to provide occupancy plans that align with business needs and growth.

Responsibilities include data-driven recommendations, maintaining IWMS data, and coordinating with facilities and stakeholders across locations. A design/architecture background and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture or related field.
• 2-5 years in design, corporate space and occupancy planning.
• Advanced AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel for occupancy analytics.
• Experience with IWMS/CAFM platforms and space data management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interior space layouts, floor plans and test fits using CAD/BIM tools.
• Identify space optimization opportunities and coordinate with teams for decisions.
• Analyze space utilization, headcount forecasts and seating to develop occupancy plans.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support growth and workplace performance.
• Enter and maintain space, occupancy, and headcount data in IWMS systems.
• Maintain data quality and align records with workflows.
• Update space records and resolve discrepancies.
• Support planning activities across multiple locations.
• Assist with audits, site assessments, and space validation.
• Collaborate with facilities, IWMS teams, and stakeholders on planning.
