Job summary

H-E-B in San Antonio is seeking a Manager Space Planning / Merchandising to lead a team of Analysts supporting space management, plan-o-grams, and merchandising changes across stores. You will ensure alignment with BDM/buyer strategies, maintain accuracy of space plans, and build strong relationships with Store Partners and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in a business-related field.
• 5+ years of experience in retail space planning / execution
• 5+ years of experience in consumer-packaged goods sales
• 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing teams
• Experience analyzing complex sales and profitability at macro or micro level
• Experience working in JDA Space Planning software or comparable plan-o-gram software
• Experience in inventory management systems
• Experience reviewing BI systems and syndicated data reports to make business decisions
• Experience implementing comprehensive merchandising programs

Responsibilities

• Leads employment-related decisions, sets department strategy, and mentors Partners.
• Manages complex merchandising projects from conception to implementation.
• Drives continuous improvement of merchandising processes and tools aligned with business plans.
• Provides input on trends, plans, and merchandising programs to meet sales and profit goals.
• Establishes productive relationships with Procurement, Forecast and Replenishment, and Store Partners.
• Ensures timely, accurate direction, communication, and feedback to teams.
• Supports development and execution of space planning and merchandising objectives.
