Job summary

H-E-B is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead two engineering squads within Store Order Management, tying store demand to warehouses, transportation, and store fulfillment. You will partner with Product, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to deliver value and drive architectural decisions across multiple systems.

You will mentor engineers, help hire and grow talent, and champion modern engineering practices, reliability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead two engineering squads within the Store Order Management organization.
• Partner with Product, Supply Chain, and Digital stakeholders to prioritize work and deliver value.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across multiple systems.
• Coach and develop engineers, support hiring and career growth, and promote a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with warehousing, transportation, store operations, and Digital Technology leadership.
