Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a Manager, Space Planning to oversee the college's space inventory, floor plans, and utilization data to support moves and renovations. You will ensure data accuracy and compliance while collaborating with academic and administrative units.

Responsibilities include generating reports and dashboards, supporting capital projects, and leading space data initiatives to optimize facilities aligned with institutional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in architectural or interior design.

Responsibilities

• Creates, maintains and updates the college's space inventory database, including floor plans and room classifications.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal reporting requirements and organizational policies.
• Collaborates with academic and administrative units to validate space data and support planning initiatives.
• Analyzes space utilization trends and provides recommendations for efficient use of facilities.
• Generates space metrics reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Supports capital planning, renovation, and relocation projects with accurate space data.
• Coordinates space audits and leads continuous improvement of space data accuracy.
• Serves as the primary liaison for space data requests and reporting.
• May lead and supervise a team engaged in space planning projects.
• Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
