Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to join our Space Technologies division in Albuquerque, NM. You will be responsible for design, testing, and analysis of advanced control systems that enhance space-based connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, strong expertise in control systems, and experience with high-bandwidth application. We offer competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic foundation in classical and state-space control system theory.
  • Proven experience in a laboratory environment setting up, testing, and experimenting with control system technologies.
  • Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust control algorithms and translate continuous-time control models into high-performing discrete-time implementations.
  • Conduct rigorous system identification and performance analysis to optimize precision.
  • Analyze system-level requirements and conduct hands-on testing of electro-optic payloads.
