Job summary

AeroVironment, SpaceTech Division, seeks a Systems Engineer to join our team designing and manufacturing space-based processing, controls, and EO systems. The ideal candidate will have electrical systems experience and a strong background in systems engineering and MBSE.

Responsibilities include capturing requirements, developing interfaces, and guiding documentation from concept to test readiness. A U.S. person and security eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, Firmware, or Industrial Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Interface Control Specifications for space-based systems.
• Supporting System Engineering documentation (MCP, ICDs, System/Integration/Test Plans).
• Owning requirements generation, analysis, and review with customers.
• Analyzing user requirements and high-level architectures to develop system specifications.
• Managing system requirements and leading design/development activities.
• Developing system architecture and design documentation.
• Communicating with program personnel, customers, and executives.
• Supporting lab and field acceptance testing.
• Ensuring technical integrity of work and deliverables in Systems Engineering.
