Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a mid- to senior-level Systems Engineer (potential Systems Engineering Lead) for a ground‑based laser and beam-control program.

You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines and provide direction to other systems engineers in the lead role. Responsibilities include managing customer requirements in a requirements database, developing a high-level MBSE model, supporting reviews, and planning V&V activities, with security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics is required.
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience is required.
• Experience with MSBE tools, requirements development/management, and V&V; familiarity with Innoslate or Cameo is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer requirements in a requirements database and develop a high-level MBSE model.
• Allocate customer requirements and derive lower-level requirements with leads.
• Support SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR reviews in a systems engineering capacity.
• Develop plans for Verification and Validation with functional leads.
• Support execution of system tests to close out V&V.
• Other duties as assigned.
