Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Special Operations Planner Team Lead to serve as the senior contractor lead embedded with USSPACECOM at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. You will direct a team of planners, interface with government leadership, and oversee the quality and delivery of all planning products in a high-visibility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• Fifteen or more years of operational planning experience in a special operations, joint, or Combatant Command HQ environment.
• Three+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a DoD or cleared contractor environment.
• Direct experience planning or integrating STO/SAP into operational plans at the Combatant Command level.
• Excellent communication skills for high-level audiences.

Responsibilities

• Direct and contribute to development of operational and strategic planning products across the Joint Planning Process (JPP).
• Lead integration of STO and SAP capabilities into USSPACECOM plans and CONPLANS.
• Coordinate with Directorates, interagency partners, and allied nations.
• Deliver decision-ready products for senior leadership, including briefs and staff packages.
• Support real-world operations, exercises, and wargames with scenario design and After Action Reviews.
