Job summary

The Building People, LLC in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced Space and Occupancy Planner to support a government client on-site. You'll work with the Space Management Team to manage workplace strategy, design management, and restacking of buildings for return-to-office initiatives, and you'll interpret and update information in the TRIRIGA system.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in commercial space planning, strong CAD skills, and experience with IWMS/TRIRIGA.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of commercial space planning and facilities management.
• Analytical thinker with strong space utilization skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and IWMS integration.
• Excellent communication and project management.
• Experience with TRIRIGA CAD Integrator and Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather planning data and define optimal adjacencies and move sequencing.
• Analyze CAD drawings and validate space plans.
• Assess space needs and propose occupancy strategies.
• Create space plans and blocking/stacking diagrams.
• Conduct space surveys to validate occupancy.
• Incorporate client standards and infrastructure considerations.
• Evaluate relocation scenarios and document recommendations.
• Schedule tasks and deliver monthly status reports.
• Maintain accountability for projects end-to-end.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
