Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Houston is seeking an Applications Engineer to join the Space Networking Group. You will participate in design, development, and deployment of the Space Network, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to enable mission success.

The role requires hands-on software development in C/C++, Rust, and Python, strong TCP/IP knowledge, and experience with Agile/DevOps practices; you will prepare technical docs and support during missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development in C, C++, Rust, Python.
• Clear understanding of inter-networking protocols including TCP/IP.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices, with emphasis on software quality and testing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Gitlab, Docker, Confluence, Jira, SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development and implementation of the Intuitive Machines Space Network architecture and services.
• Provide technical support during mission planning, execution, and post mission analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
