Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an intern for the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) within the Integrated Performance Subdivision (IPS). You will contribute to MS&A modeling and simulation for space and defense systems, working on multiple projects with mentors and peers this summer.

Selected candidate will work full-time on-site at our Colorado Springs, CO, El Segundo, CA, or Chantilly, VA facility.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or related discipline.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program full-time after completion.
• Bachelor's degree completed by internship start date.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn, use, and contribute to the development of engineering analysis software tools.
• Assist with conducting technical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports.
• Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed.
