Job summary

FTS International, LLC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on complex space-domain problems. You will perform orbital mechanics modeling, simulations, and analyze space-based relay systems.

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI with polygraph, a B.S. in an engineering field, 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong abilities in C++, Python, MATLAB, and data analysis for customer-facing results.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with polygraph required.
  • B.S. in engineering or STEM field.
  • 2+ years of relevant modeling and analysis experience.
  • Experience with C++, Python, SQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA or STK.
  • Strong data analysis and engineering analytics background.
  • Clear communication of findings to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform orbital mechanics modeling and simulation (Mod/Sim).
  • Analyze link budgets, latency, and throughput for RF/optical space systems.
  • Assess satellite payload sensor phenomenology and product quality.
  • Evaluate end-to-end designs against performance parameters.
  • Create MS&A documentation including plans, inputs/outputs, and visualizations.
  • Advise teams on future studies and analytic roadmaps.
