Job summary

Redwire Space Missions, LLC in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced Sr. Project Manager to guide DoD and commercial satellite programs from concept through on‑orbit operations, delivering space vehicles and payloads for SDA, U.S. Space Force, AFRL, or NASA.

This onsite role requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain one. The ideal candidate has 8+ years managing space programs, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience with MS Project, Primavera, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience managing satellite or spacecraft development programs for DoD, NASA, or commercial space customers.
• Experience with SDA, U.S. Space Force, AFRL, or similar government space contracts.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of DoD, SDA, and commercial satellite programs, ensuring compliance with government contractual requirements and milestone reviews.
• Manage spacecraft development efforts including bus, payload, integration & test, and launch campaign coordination.
• Oversee program performance against Earned Value Management (EVM) principles when required for government programs.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking with cross‑functional alignment.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for hardware, tooling, and test systems.
