Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mechanical Integration Engineer to research, design, and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems and interfaces. You will work on tactical vehicle subsystems, Creo modeling, and hardware development within cost and schedule constraints.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or an allied degree, with 2 years of experience, or a related Masters.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 2 years of professional experience; or Masters with related background.
• Experience with Creo Parametric 3D modeling and/or CAD drawing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems for production, transmission and energy use.
• Applies research to planning, design, development and testing of mechanical/electromechanical systems and controls.
• Develop mechanical interfaces for tactical vehicle subsystems and components.
• Support mechanical design trade studies and interface control drawings.
• Communicate regularly with internal customers and program management.
• Drive hardware development within cost and schedule constraints.
• Apply standard processes across projects with strong work ethic.
