Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Mechanical Systems Integrator for the Conventional Prompt Strike program in Colorado. You will drive mechanical interface definitions, create assembly plans, and coordinate solutions across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure system integration for mission critical hardware.

You will analyze interfaces, plan tests, and participate in design reviews, investigations, and documentation. A DoD Secret clearance and strong CAD expertise are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks, CREO, Inventor) required.
• Mechanical design, integration, and hardware installation experience.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage mechanical interface definitions and change management.
• Create and maintain system assembly plans and drawings.
• Analyze interface compatibility and coordinate resolutions.
• Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution.
• Develop plans to onboard new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission.
• Participate in design reviews and failure investigations.
