Job summary

HX5, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Test Technologist, Engineering Technologist III to support NASA at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The Advanced Materials Laboratory provides test services for aerospace and industrial applications.

The role encompasses mechanical, thermal, vacuum, and electrical testing, with emphasis on safety and proper documentation. A 9/80 schedule, full-time, with opportunities to contribute to critical space exploration programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years of lab experience or related field recommended.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates a strong safety mindset in all testing and laboratory activities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to organize and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses in mechanical testing, physical properties, thermal, vacuum, and electrical measurements.
• Calculate test results, populate spreadsheets, and compile results in documents.
• Work with Lab Manager on test design and build-up to meet project needs.
• Procure parts, supplies, and lab equipment; maintain lab inventory.
