Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a Structural Engineer 2 to join the Major Projects group within the Engineering and Infrastructure department at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. You will lead structural design and analysis for launch infrastructure, coordinating with contractors and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable space operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and knowledge of AISC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Structural Engineering and Design: perform structural analysis and design calculations for steel, aluminum, and concrete structures.
• Review and validate contractor-produced structural analysis, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and technical drawings (drafting) to support infrastructure projects.
• Interface with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive project execution.
• Develop project schedules and budgets.
• Support systems engineering activities including requirements development and verification.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and project status updates.
