Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center in Florida seeks skilled operators for crane and heavy equipment tasks supporting NASA programs. You will perform lifting, loading, and on-site transport, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a demanding test facility environment.

The role requires CDL/HazMat preferences, NCCCO certification, and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances. Partial telework available where feasible and standard shift patterns apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience.
• NCCCO and Class A CDL with HazMat preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain light and heavy equipment powered by diesel and gasoline.
• Understand crane operation, load charts, and dynamic loading.
• Secure and balance loads with chains, cables, slings, and hooks.
• Perform safety checks on cranes, forklifts, and aerial platforms.
• Operate mobile hydraulic cranes and heavy trucks.
• Transport materials to various areas on site.
• Use CMMS to document work and update logs.
