Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center in Florida is seeking skilled technicians to install, maintain, modify, and test heavy mechanical systems for NASA missions. This collective bargaining represented position offers a challenging environment in a pivotal national program.

Responsibilities include crane operation, equipment testing, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance; requires high school diploma and 3 years related experience, valid US driver's license, and ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with technical area and 3 years related experience.
• Must have a valid US Driver's License.
• Technical training via apprenticeship or equivalent; military service preferred.
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, lifts, pendant cranes and precision testing equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation, maintenance, modification, refurbishment, cleaning and repair of fixed cranes, doors and platforms.
• Operate fixed cranes, doors and platforms for operations and maintenance.
• Conduct functional and operational tests of refurbished systems and equipment.
• Maintain logs and records; follow blueprints, diagrams and vendor manuals.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste and adhere to safety standards.
