Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center is seeking skilled technicians to install, maintain, and repair fixed cranes, doors, and platforms. You will follow drawings and specs, perform tests, and ensure safe operation in a challenging aerospace environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and 3 years related experience, plus a valid US driver’s license. Telework options may be available; expect full-time shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience.
• Must have a valid US Driver's License.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiar with mechanical equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools, lifts, and precision measuring equipment.
• Military apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation, maintenance, modification, refurbishment, cleaning, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment of fixed cranes, doors and platforms.
• Operate cranes, doors and platforms for operations and maintenance.
• Conduct functional and operational tests of refurbished systems and components.
• Use test equipment and measuring devices to complete tasks.
• Maintain logs and inspect equipment per safety standards.
• Travel to support position requirements and work across site areas.
