Job summary
GeoControl Systems, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to support Johnson Space Center labs under the Amentum JETS2 contract. The role covers Windows and Linux systems, lab networking, and security updates, within the Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics Division.
The position requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 1 year in IT. Candidates must be eligible for HUBZone residency considerations as part of the company's program.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 1 year in any IT-related field.
- Experience with Linux OS (RedHat-based).
- Experience with Windows OS (Windows 10+).
- Demonstrated problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Experience assisting others with IT-related issues.
- Teamwork in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support both Windows and Linux based systems in labs.
- Design and manage wired and wireless lab networks.
- Maintain security updates on all lab systems.
- Work with other System Administrators to develop best practices.
- Investigate system problems and proactively monitor system health.
