Job summary

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator for Johnson Space Center to support Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics. You will manage Windows and Linux lab systems, design lab networking, and keep systems secure and up to date.

You will collaborate with a team of system administrators, following established best practices while contributing your own improvements. The role offers field opportunities and lab-based work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is typically required.
• 1 year in IT-related field or related experience.
• Experience with Windows OS – Windows 10 and later.
• Experience with Linux OS (RedHat-based preferred).
• Demonstrated problem-solving and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support both Windows and Linux based lab systems.
• Design and maintain networking (wired and wireless) for each lab.
• Apply security updates to lab systems and monitor health.
• Investigate system problems and coordinate with teammates.
• Adhere to established and develop new best practices.
