Job summary

Amentum seeks a System Administrator at Johnson Space Center to support the Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics Division under the JETS2 contract. The role involves managing Windows and Linux-based systems, configuring lab networking, and applying security updates across multiple labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification or field experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
• 1 year in IT-related field.
• Experience with Linux OS (RedHat-based).
• Experience with Windows OS (Windows 10+).
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
• Good task planning and communication skills.
• Experience assisting others with IT issues.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate system problems and proactively monitor system health.
• Complete security upgrades across lab systems.
• Design and manage Windows and Linux networking for labs.
• Collaborate with other System Administrators in the division.
• Follow established best practices and develop new ones.
