Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Member of Technical Staff - Modeling & Simulation Engineering to join CMED within the Integrated Performance Subdivision. You will apply MS&A across space, air, and ground systems to evaluate CONOPS and mission performance in nominal and contested environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, electrical, or software) or closely related field.
• 0–1 year industry experience.
• Experience with modeling/simulations, orbital mechanics, space systems, filtering, tracking, or kill chains.
• Proficiency with Python or C++.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance with SCI access; U.S. citizenship required.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to in-house and government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools.
• Conduct technical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments in multi-disciplinary teams to support decisions.
• Develop and deliver timely and technically accurate presentations and reports.
• Travel occasionally to support customer efforts.
