Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Space Hardware Production Readiness Engineer to take mature space designs and drive them toward repeatable, high-rate manufacturing. You will pace design changes with the program schedule and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams.

Responsibilities include owning BOMs and drawings, implementing ECO/ECN changes, and ensuring next-higher-level documentation stays current.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering or hard science.
• CAD skills and ability to produce GD&T drawings.
• Experience transitioning hardware from prototype to production.
• Knowledge of BOM structures and ECO/ECN processes.
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly experience.
• Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, statics, and materials.
• Familiarity with tolerance analysis and inspection methods.
• Detail-oriented and autonomous with strong documentation.
• Able to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel to test sites and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the production readiness of space hardware and drive designs to repeatable, high-rate manufacturing.
• Update designs to reduce build and test cycle times and improve yield.
• Manage BOMs, drawings, GD&T, and ECO/ECN changes across assemblies.
• Propagate engineering changes through assembly hierarchies and maintain consistency.
• Disposit Nonconformances and author rework instructions as Responsible Engineer.
• Transition designs from low-rate to higher-rate production with operations teams.
• Build and validate prototypes and production trial builds; analyze failures.
• Create technical documentation including assembly procedures and test plans.
