Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a production readiness engineer for space hardware. Owns maturation of designs for repeatable, high-rate production and aligns design changes with the program schedule.

You will drive manufacturability through BOM ownership, ECO/ECN processes, and close collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, and test engineering to transition from prototype to high-rate production. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering or hard science.
• CAD skills and ability to produce high quality drawings with GD&T.
• Experience taking hardware designs into manufacturing and production.
• Familiarity with BOM structures, revision control, and ECO/ECN.
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: heat transfer, statics, materials.
• Familiarity with tolerance analysis and inspection methods.
• Highly organized, autonomous, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Apply first principles to simplify designs and improve manufacturability.
• Mature designs for higher-rate production and resolve production issues.
• Improve design to shorten build and test cycle times.
• Own BOMs and drawings, manage revisions and ECO/ECN.
• Propagate changes through assembly hierarchies and BOMs.
• Act as Responsible Engineer for hardware in production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and test to scale production.
• Build prototypes and production trial builds; analyze failures.
