Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking an Electrical Architect to drive the definition and architecture of our digital compute and power electronics systems. This role owns architecture decisions and coordinates across boards, subsystems, and disciplines to deliver reliable, scalable hardware.

You will collaborate with RF, FPGA, and firmware engineers, mentor engineers, and guide prototype testing toward production while meeting security and manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in electrical design at system or architecture level.
• Proficient in high-density/high-speed design (FPGAs, SerDes, 10/100G).
• Experience with PCB layout, schematic capture, and EMI/EMC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical architecture for high-speed digital systems.
• Define system-level architecture for multi-gigabit networking and power trees.
• Review schematic, layout, and bring-up across digital systems.
• Collaborate with RF, FPGA, firmware engineers to optimize design.
• Guide testing, root-cause analysis, and manufacturability with production teams.
