Job summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled technician for Kennedy Space Center in Florida to support fixed crane, doors, and platform operations. The role requires measuring, testing, maintenance, and safe operation of heavy equipment on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiar with basic mechanical equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, lifts, pendant cranes, and precision measuring/testing equipment is required.
• Must be able to communicate ideas accurately in writing and verbally and interact with others.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, modify, refurbish, clean, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, verify, certify, test and operate fixed cranes, doors, and platforms and related material-handling equipment.
• Operate fixed cranes, doors, and platforms as required for operations and maintenance.
• Conduct functional and operational tests of refurbished systems and components.
• Obtain measurements and field data to complete tasks.
• Maintain logs and records and ensure safety protocols are followed.
