Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Ground Systems Software Engineer to architect, integrate, and maintain the digital backbone connecting spacecraft to mission control. The role collaborates with GSaaS providers, Satellite Operations, IT, and Ground Software teams to ensure secure, automated telemetry, TT&C, and payload data flows.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in systems design, network engineering, or related.
• Strong Linux admin and CLI experience.
• Python or other scripting for automation and APIs.
• Solid TCP/IP, UDP, VPNs, routing and firewalls knowledge.
• Experience with REST APIs or gRPC services.
• Familiarity with ground modems, SDRs, or GNU Radio/Kratos/qRadio.
• Independent problem-solver with collaborative ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with good docs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and integrate ground software and data flows.
• Manage provider integrations and secure networking.
• Lead testing, ICDs, and configuration translation.
• Troubleshoot software, network, and data-flow issues during operations.
• Ensure COMSEC and secure data transport.
• Work with SDRs and commercial modems for signal processing.
