Job summary

EVONA in Colorado seeks an experienced Satellite & Ground Systems Engineer to translate complex mission objectives into integrated system designs across spacecraft, payloads, ground, software, and operations. You will shape architectures from early mission architecture through deployment and sustained operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline or physics.
• 6+ years of systems engineering experience in aerospace/defense/complex environments.
• Experience deriving requirements from stakeholder needs to implementation and verification.
• Strong ability to develop ConOps, mission scenarios, use cases, and threads.
• Experience managing system requirements, allocation, decomposition, and traceability.
• Familiarity with the systems engineering V-model and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop mission concepts, ConOps, operational scenarios, mission threads, and use cases.
• Translate stakeholder objectives into system requirements and architectures.
• Elicit, decompose, allocate, manage, and maintain requirements across complex systems.
• Develop high-level architectures spanning spacecraft, payloads, ground infrastructure, software, and operations.
• Maintain traceability between stakeholder needs, requirements, architecture, interfaces, verification plans, and tests.
• Perform functional analysis, system decomposition, interface definition, and trade studies.
• Partner with hardware, software, spacecraft, payload, ground, and operations teams.
• Support system integration, verification, deployment, and sustainment.
• Contribute to SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, SVR reviews and decisions.
• Drive technical decisions and ensure consistency across programs.
