Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Ground Systems Engineer in Englewood, CO to drive MBSE-based design, development and testing of space-ground interfaces. You will work closely with the Ground Segment IPT, developing requirements and documentation to ensure cohesive, end-to-end solutions for space missions.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, 2+ years of experience, strong communication skills and the ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with SysML and MagicDraw is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ground Segment IPT for the assigned program.
• Develop ground system requirements to support space missions.
• Ensure an integrated ground solution (internal, COTS, FOSS).
• Use MBSE for design, development, integration and testing of the ground system.
• Develop ICDs, test plans/procedures and related program documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering staff on design, integration and test matters.
