Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) Space Systems team seeks an experienced engineering team lead to head the System Verification Department in Englewood, CO, ensuring the successful manufacture and verification of space systems with ground and launch interfaces.

You will supervise verification activities, define architectures, mentor staff, manage resources, and contribute to proposals. DoD Top Secret/SCI eligibility is required, with willingness to travel and work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 9+ years with a bachelor's degree / 7+ with a master's / 4+ with a PhD.
• Experience with satellite ATLO and environmental verification.
• Leading verification programs and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain DoD TS security clearance.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Space Systems Verification Department daily activities and planning.
• Develop and execute system verification plans and artifacts.
• Coordinate resources and staffing to meet program needs.
• Mentor verification staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Contribute to cost/resource estimates for proposals and ECPs.
• Engage with customers and government representatives and drive improvements.
