Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for Space Ground Software to build, deploy, and operate the command-and-control software for space missions. You will develop modular capabilities atop the Lattice platform, supporting DoD and IC customers across orbital and ground systems.

You will work on end-to-end backend services, protobuf interfaces, secure cloud deployments, and software-in-the-loop simulations, collaborating across teams to ensure reliability and mission success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building backend and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Go, Rust, or C++ with gRPC/Protobuf.
• Experience deploying services on Kubernetes with CI/CD.
• Experience integrating software with hardware systems.
• Able to navigate complex systems with limited oversight.
• Strong collaboration and code-review discipline.
• Eligible for U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions end-to-end—from design to production.
• Build and operate backend services across the Space C2 stack.
• Write and evolve protobuf API contracts.
• Deploy and run services in secure government cloud on containers/Kubernetes.
• Integrate with spacecraft and ground infrastructure.
• Build and run SITL simulations to validate operations.
• Review teammates' code and maintain high quality.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test features.
• Create metrics for debugging and monitoring; triage issues.
• Partner with end-users to translate needs into features.
