Northwood Space is seeking a Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) Technician to own the setup, programming, and performance of our SMT line across production and NPI builds. This role is critical to delivering high-reliability electronics on schedule, with direct impact on deploying next-generation space communication systems.

You will set up equipment (screen printers, pick-and-place, reflow, SPI, AOI, X-ray), create and optimize programs, tune process parameters, perform preventive maintenance, and

Formación

• 5+ years of SMT electronics manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience operating and setting up SMT equipment.
• Experience programming or editing programs on SMT equipment.
• Experience building to travelers, BOMs, and assembly drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate SMT equipment including screen printers, pick-and-place, reflow, SPI, AOI, and X-ray.
• Create, debug, and optimize programs for SMT equipment.
• Configure and tune process parameters such as nozzles, conveyor speeds, print settings and reflow profiles.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs; work with Engineering to resolve issues.
• Inspect solder quality using microscopes, AOI, and X-ray to IPC-A-610 standards.
• Support production and NPI builds; drive continuous improvement of SOPs.
