Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking an FPGA Engineer I to contribute to FPGA circuit and system development through all phases, including HDL design, verification, testing, and deployment for satellite and aerospace platforms.

You will work with high-speed interfaces, multiple clocks, and lab instrumentation while collaborating across hardware and software teams in a dynamic environment. A BS/MS in EE or CE is required, with hands-on FPGA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
• University experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of FPGA systems at the HDL level.
• Expertise in FPGA design and verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Xilinx’s Vivado, Modelsim, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA circuits and systems through all phases of the development process.
• Design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA HDL designs (high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, clock domains).
• Perform testing, validation, and verification of FPGA designs.
