Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an FPGA Engineer I to contribute to the development of FPGA circuits and systems for space and aerospace platforms. You will work through all development phases, from design to verification and deployment of HDL-based FPGA solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Verilog/VHDL, Xilinx Vivado, and lab instruments, plus strong communication skills. This is a full-time on-site role based in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience designing FPGA systems at the HDL level.
• Expertise in FPGA design & verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Vivado, Modelsim).
• Hands-on with lab instruments: digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA circuits and systems through all development phases.
• Design, verify, test, and deploy HDL-level FPGA designs.
• Collaborate on digital signal processing and board-level hardware tasks.
