Ramon.Space in Colorado is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Lead to guide flight‑grade software for our satellite computing modules. You will shape architecture, mentor a growing team, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, and systems.

The role demands strong C/C++, RTOS and embedded Linux experience, a track record leading senior engineers, and a commitment to reliability, safety, and space‑grade development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 7+ years embedded software experience.
• 3+ years in lead or senior roles.
• Experience designing embedded systems for safety‑critical or high‑reliability platforms.
• Strong C/C++ skills and RTOS experience.
• Experience with embedded Linux and Yocto.
• Excellent cross‑functional leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of embedded software for flight modules.
• Provide mentorship and drive career progression within the team.
• Lead recruitment and build a balanced firmware/embedded team.
• Own interfaces across hardware, firmware, and higher‑level software.
• Develop firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers, SoCs, and FPGA targets.
• Collaborate with electrical/FPGA teams on interfaces and timing.
• Represent software in cross‑functional planning and reviews.
